Claims
Should an incident occur, follow the steps below to file a claim. Losses are adjusted promptly and fairly. In any situation, it is important that you take reasonable action to prevent further loss or damage from occurring to your property.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT dispose of damaged property until an adjustor has had an opportunity to inspect it.
How to make a claim:
Step 1
Call 800.548.1616 for a claims representative.
Step 2
Make a complete inventory of the lost or damaged property, including the date of purchase, place of purchase and the price paid. We will require reasonable documentation to prove value and ownership of the lost or damaged property. We will ask for information and materials to show that you owned the property claimed. Your original receipts, photographs or owner’s manuals can be used to document your claim. Keep these items in a secure place so they will be accessible to you during the claims process. DO NOT keep them in your apartment.Step 3
Your claims adjustor will instruct you on any next steps.
Theft (Home or Automobile)
If you experience a personal property loss due to theft in your home or automobile, you will need to call your local Police or Sheriff Department and inform them of the incident. Let them know you will need a copy of the Police Report for your insurance company for the incident. Once this is complete, call 800.548.1616 to speak to a claims representative and file a claim.
